This beautiful fur trimmed coat by YSL, paired with gray tights and booties...

...inspires me to dress for the cold that is for sure coming,

and to take part in a trend that is here now.

Street Style...

I believe that most of my fashion inspiration comes from street style.

I am also of the belief that black looks good on everyone.

Slimming, classy, chic....EASY.

I am particularly drawn to this ensemble...the raw edges, socks with heels...not usually what I am drawn to, but this just works.

Simple, edgy and stylish.

This season, you just can't go wrong with either of these looks.

Love the belted coat, cuffed pants and flats.

Conclusion: Black is always good.

Yes, I know...it's still August, but it's never too early to think about how you're going to look fashionable while staying cozy this winter.

One of the hottest trends for fall/winter is shearling.

What makes this look work? Being paired with a feminine dress and well...boots, of course!

Rockin' the socks..

You may or may not be thrilled with the idea, but it's no longer a faux pas to wear ankle socks with your sandals! (Yes, really).

The trend seems to be continuing into the fall...

Skeptical?

Well, socks are practical, inexpensive and take up very little space...will you be indulging in this trend?

A Mix of Masculine and Feminine...

Although this trend has been around for a couple of seasons, it's still going strong.

Military inspired clothing and accessories just seem to add an air of authority, don't you think?

The clean and polished look means it can be worn anywhere. Paired with more feminine pieces, it adds a softer, more feminine look (note the lace tights).

Look for well cut coats with brass buttons and other interesting details.

Anticipating Fall...

Okay, so I have admit...

I am looking forward to the change of season, and Autumn wins hands down as my favorite season for fashion.

Can't wait to dig out the sweaters, scarfs and Jeans! And let's not forget the boots...my favorite form of footwear!

Oh...and I *adore* aviators!
