The weather is finally cooling off!
Time to slip into some fabulous denim.
I found a blog that I have fallen in love with...I must share!
Here's a quick lesson on denim washes and where to wear them!
{Thank you Taylor Davies!}
Acid Wash
An acid wash finish creates significant contrast in the color of denim fabric.
They are a bold wash and are best worn on the beach as cut-off shorts for a fun vintage look.
Give them a more modern look by adding a polished separate.
Sanded Finish
A sanded finish is achieved with a combination of pumice stones, enzymes and sand, natch. This process is used to create the illusion of aged denim.
This wash is great for a casual weekend outing - comfy and soft!
Throw on those boyfriend jeans and relax.
Stone Wash
Stone washing is a process that gives denim a worn-in, more relaxed look, and gives the fabric added softness and flexibility. The process removes color and adds contrast.
The lighter wash is great for casual outings.
I love the dark wash which can be dressed up or down for just about any occasion.
Rinsed Denim
This the darkest wash of all! They look great in a trouser cut and good for the office or a night out on the town. These look equally good in a skinny style worn with a great pair of heels, of course!
Be careful with these when washing...separately and inside out only!
The indigo dye is not a color you want on ALL your clothes!
Whatever wash is your favorite, you'll have to agree...nothing feels quite like a great pair of jeans!
